🌿 Key Features:
- Convenient daily top-dress formulation for effortless mixing with feed.
- Enteric coating protects omeprazole from stomach acid, ensuring effective absorption.
- Ideal for ulcer prevention and long-term maintenance after treatment.
- Especially suited for horses prone to ulcers due to stress, stall confinement, or intense training.
⚙️ How It Works
- Omeprazole blocks acid production at its source by inhibiting the proton pump in the stomach lining.
- Each dose of AbPrazole granules is effective for 24 hours.
💊 Directions for Use:
- Treatment: One sachet per 175 kg (385 lb) of body weight once daily for 28 days. Then for the next 14 days – half the dose.
- Prevention: One sachet per 350 kg (770 lb) of body weight once daily.
- Sprinkle on dry or slightly moistened feed; do not mix with water or soak.
- DO NOT expose AbPrazole granules to water or the enteric coating will be damaged.
Example:
A horse weighing ~550 kg would receive:
4 sachets per dose, 1× daily → 4 sachets per day for 28 days. Then half the dose 1× daily → 2 sachets per day, for the next 14 days. At the end of treatment, 1 sachet per day may be given for 10 consecutive days. So in total you need 140-150 sachets for the basic treatment.
- Each 4.2g sachet enteric-coated granules contains: 700mg omeprazole BP, Omeprazole 25% w/w
- Treatment dosage of 4.0mg/kg (1.8mg/lb) of horse’s bodyweight.
- Prevention dosage of 2.0mg/kg (0.9mg/lb) of horse’s bodyweight.
